Walstrom Marine Cheboygan Recertified as a Michigan Clean Marina

Walstrom Marine is proud to share that our Cheboygan location has been officially recertified through the Michigan Clean Marina Program, with approval from the Michigan Clean Marina Foundation on April 30. This designation is effective through October 31, 2031.

The Michigan Clean Marina certification recognizes marinas that go above and beyond to protect water quality through responsible environmental practices. From fuel handling and waste management to boater education and facility operations, the program sets a high standard for stewardship across Michigan’s waterways.

For our team in Cheboygan, this recertification reflects an ongoing commitment to doing things the right way. It’s about maintaining a clean, safe harbor for our customers and doing our part to preserve the waters we all enjoy.

As part of the recertification, the Clean Marina Program has also shared the news through a statewide media outreach effort in partnership with the Michigan Boating Industries Association, helping highlight the importance of environmental responsibility within the marine industry.

We’re grateful for the support and resources the program provides, from operational guidance to tools that help us continue improving. Most of all, we appreciate the partnership and shared goal of keeping Michigan’s waterways clean for the long run.

Walstrom Marine’s Harbor Springs location is also a certified Clean Marina, reflecting a broader commitment across our organization to responsible practices and protecting the waters we call home.
