Hi Stover
Frank Hiram “Hi” Stover IV grew up boating, skiing, and fishing on the Saginaw Bay and remembers the first boat he sold at age 14, a Thunderbird Tri-Hull. Now having lived in Northern Michigan, Hi’s favorite places to boat are the North Channel and Lake Charlevoix. He loves being on the water with his friends and family, specifically his grandkids, but also snow skiing in the winter. One of his favorite memories of his career was driving the Tiara 43 Sovran with the Volvo IPS Joystick for the first time. Hi also loves helping new boaters get off on the right foot in their boating journey. He understands how overwhelming learning about the boating world can be, but he’s happy to help. He welcomes anyone to give him a call and ask any questions they may have. A question to get started with may be how he knows how to slalom ski on a canoe paddle, another skill we’re not surprised Hi has. The NOAA website or apps are a favorite for Hi to check weather and reports, especially before he slalom skis on his canoe paddle.
Joe Gallagher
Joe is a true boat enthusiast as he loves working on anything with a motor and admiring all the different boats you can see on the Great Lakes. Growing up on Gull Lake in Kalamazoo is where he developed his passion for boating with his friends and family. He was even on the wakeboard team in college. Joe likes to go fast on land too by off-roading and snowmobiling in the winter. He’s wanted to work in the marine industry for a long time so a favorite memory of his is when Tom Ervin called to offer him the job at Walstrom. It still makes him excited to work at one of the best Marine Companies in Michigan. When a customer is starting to look at boats, Joe recommends that they focus on their plans with the boat. “More times than not, bigger is better when it comes to boats.” He believes you may need more boat than you think to accomplish your boating goals.
